In the usual client-server model Dirlist has the effect of obtaining a
file list on the client machine.

Will Dirlist will work in a three tier situation using webforms? Will
Dirlist get the files list on the webserver or the user machine
(hosting the web browser?

Thanks,

Alastair Walker

No. If it was obvious I would not have asked the question.

If you are writing a three tier application with a web browser front end,
the PowerBuilder code would be running in the middle tier which is located
on a server so any file related functions would run against the servers file
system.
