1. I have installed PowerDesigner Client on my machine (my
local machine).

2. I have setup Repository database (on a server say 'dbs')
and am able to check in and check out files to and from the
database.

3. I have installed "Power Designer Repository Web Browser"
(on a server say WBS), however I have difficulty connecting
the browser to the Repository database (and its server).

I can ping the dbs from wbs. I can connect to the database
using oracle client. I have tns names file working OK.

What I did not understand is what to input in the attached
screen.

I gave the host name (dbs), port number (of the oracle
listener that listens the request.
I gave the repository owner and the password in the
respective fields. However where should I specify the "name
of the database" that holds the repository on that server?

I get the following message on the java log - "The server
dbs failed to respond". Are there any java components I need
to install on the dbs?

Any inputs on how to resolve the issue, are greatly
appreciated.

Thank you,
Viswa

Do you have the Oracle Java driver installed on the WBS?
