Hi there,

Does anyone know if there's a way to change the kerberos
server principal used by IQ? I'm currently in an environment
where (improper) assumptions are made about the principal
and the default <user running server>/<host> form would need
to change to specific-user/<host>. Why you ask? Our group
can't run as "specific-user" and hence the complication..

Thanks in advance,

SF

If you mean on the IQ server then look at params.cfg thats where the IQ
server principal is defined.

I have not had any problems with using kerberos (full ticket-passing )
with IQ. Even the ASE openclient based tools work, although there is a
bit of effort in getting most interfaces to work. Like DBlib would need
a special SDK for kerberos from Sybase installed.
