We are setting up a Replication Environment... My question
is:

We will have 2 Servers:
SERVERA
SERVERB

As for the Sybase database Server in each of these Physical
Servers... can they both have the same name i.e. PRIME_DB?
Or do they have to each have a different name?

We are referencing the @@servername in the script and we are
hoping that we do not have to change it...

Any help is appreciated...

Thank You...

i.e. Can the primary Adaptive Server and Replcate Adaptive
Server have the same name? With different Physical Server
name?

Hi Sufyan

As far as I remember, there should be no problem to accomplish this. You
will need to assign alternative different names to your dataservers in
the interfaces file which is used by RS, then you will use these names
for defining RS connections. I built such RS systems in the past.

Hope it helps
