Hello;
Tests show that SQL queries were faster, after
dropping/recreating indexes within Sybase IQ database.
Tests were made with Sybase IQ 12.7.

Does someone have scripts for Sybase IQ 15 in order to :
- check fragmentation of indexes
- reorganize indexes wihtin Sybase IQ 15

Thanks you
Regards
Lionel M

Hi,

I assume you have used the sp_iqindexfragmentation
procedure. If so you should be able to run the output of the
code
below:-

select 'exec sp_iqindexfragmentation (''table ' + table_name
+ ' '')'
from systable
where table_type = 'BASE'
and server_type = 'IQ'
and table_name in (select tname from sys.sysindexes where
iname not like '%FP' )

To rebuild you indexes just use the sp_iqrebuildindex
procedure.
