Yes, the server creates both TCP and UDP sockets on the AIS port.

Can´t UDP be avoided?.

UDP is more vulnerable than TCP attacks.

Advantage does not currently have an option to only create the TCP socket.
However, if you disallow UDP through the firewall, the UDP socket won't be
used.
