How do you connect Sharepoint dashboards to Sybase IQ
databases? By default only SQL Server appears in Sharepoint
data sources. Is there a Sybase IQ OLE DB driver that one
can download and install so that Sharepoint recognizes it?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,

Jerome Smith

Hi Manish,

Thank you for your reply. I actually have installed the OLE
DB driver since it came included with the Sybase IQ
Evaluation Edition. I'll study the documentation you
referred me to.

Cheers,

Jerome

You may want to try out the ADO.NET Sybase IQ provider rather than OLEDB
or ODBC (these 2 client interfaces seem to be aging and do have problems
at times).
If the ADO.NET does not show up in the sharepoint data provider
drop-down, its possible that you will need to check the machine.config
file in the .NET 3.5/ or .NET 4.0 directory.
ADO.NET also uses a Global Assembly Cache (GAC) so its lot more
sophisticated.
