Hi , I know my hope of getting this solved is remote but I
thought I give it a try, I have a warm standby system and
one table on the standby server becomes out of sync with its
primary
Only by a few records, there is no latency, no exceptions no
threads being down, no rep or ase crashes, the third party
claims that there is no import that set replication to off
on this table, We running ASE 12.5.3 and repserver 12.5.4,
anyone come across a bug like this? thoughts?

Just the typical laundry list of ideas ...

- someone/something disabled (set replication off/on) the replication of some primary data

- someone/something directly modified (insert/update/delete) the data in the replicate database

- the secondary trunc point was reset in the PDB such that some transactions were never processed by the repagent

- a transaction was skipped at the DSI (eg, resume connection/skip tran)

- an incorrect repdef PK definition is causing the 'wrong' data to be processed (deleted/updated) in the replicate (eg,
the table's PK is on the column pair (a,b), but the repdef has a PK defined as (a), so a delete with a=1/b=2 in the PDB
will cause a delete in the RDB based on a=1 (no 'b' included in DELETE when applied in the RDB) with the result being
the potential to delete more data in the RDB than is desired

- triggers have enabled in the RDB and a trigger is causing (for whatever reason) some data to be adversely modified in
the RDB [while triggers are disabled by default in a warm standby environment, triggers can be enabled via the DSI's
dsi_keep_triggers configuration setting]

- a bug with the repserver (check solved cases @ sybase.com; open a case with Sybase tech support)

- ... I'm sure I'm forgetting something ...
