Hi, again;

I keep getting error 7078 when attempting to connect. I'm using Php +
Apache on Fedora as web sever trying to connect to an offsite windows ADS 10
server via AIS. The fact that I get 7078 should mean that I'm acually
connecting (right?). I know the user name and password are correct. Using
arc I'm able to login using the same username+passrd. The error is only
happening when using PHP ads_connect().

Any ideas?

Thank you,

Reinaldo.

Here is more info. I looked on asd_err.adt and found corresponding entries
with error_code 8025 where the cnnct_name is the web server's name trying to
connect and application_id is httpd.

Error 8025? Again, I'm able to connect using arc with the very same
connection string using the same username + passwrd combination. The
problem happens only when trying to login from my php + apache web server.

Is the error 8025 or 8026? I have seen issues where a 7078 is returned
and 8026 is logged.

Does the "filename" field in the error log show the path? Would you
verify the path is correct and has not gotten mangled in some way?

Edgar;

After upgrading to 10.10.0.6, the problem persists just the same.

Five error lines are logged into ads_err.adt at a time. These are the
errors being logged:

Error line #1:
err_class : 0
err_code: 87
Ads_Source: tblutil.c
src_line: 5540
FileName: \\\\PRPA\\d$\\adsdata\\prpa\\prpa_data\\pathlabs.add
Ads_ver: 10.10.0.6
Environment: Windows NT
OS_Version: 6.1
application_id:

The next line shows this:
err_class:8000
err_code:8025
Ads_Source:tblutil.c
src_line:5544
FileName: \\\\PRPA\\d$\\adsdata\\prpa\\prpa_data\\pathlabs.add
application_id:

The 3rd line shows this:
err_class:8000
err_code:8025
ads_source:login.c
src_line:2433
FileName: \\\\PRPA\\d$\\adsdata\\prpa\\prpa_data\\pathlabs.add
application_id: httpd

The 4th:
err_class:7000
err_code:7078
ads_source:login.c
src_line:2447
FileName: \\\\PRPA\\d$\\adsdata\\prpa\\prpa_data\\pathlabs.add
application_id:httpd

the 5th error logged changes the file name to the ip of the web server
running the php app trying to connect.

Please help!

I was able to duplicate it if I "double escaped" the connection string.

i.e. \\\\\\\\edgars6500w7\\\\c$.....

But it worked fine as \\\\edgars6500w7\\c$

What I found easier was to use forward slashes instead of dealing with
escaping.

//edgars6500w7/c$

Edgar;

Thank you for the tip. Indeed you were right.

My problem was that I was escaping the backslash while reading the
connection string from a text file. I guess there is no need to escape the
backslash in that situation.

Regards,

Reinaldo.

Edgar;

Hi. Good to see you around.

Indeed it is error 8025. The file name field does show the path and it
looks just fine. I'm scheduling time to perform an upgrade to 10.10.0.6.
I'll let you know if the problem persists after the upgrade.

Reinaldo.
