Hi Everyone,

I need to input RTF Formated data inside my RTF document at an insertion point.
When I use:

rte_1.InputFieldChangeData(string, string)

It inserts the RTF Formatting tags in the document, which is what I don't want.

I want the RichTextEdit control to render the formatting, not treat the data as
a string. The input parameter to InputFieldChangeData() is a string and not an
RTF formatted string.

Is there a way around this or a limitation within the RichTextEdit control?

Basically I'm looking for a solution where the user can edit a word document at
only select areas. The rest of the document remains untouched. As a sollution
I'm allowing the data formatting to occur in another RTE control, and then I
insert it in the document which is displayed in another RTE control. The data
insertion within the RTE is displaying raw RTF data, instead of retaining the
original formatted data.

Thanks in advance,
Patricia

I would suspect that the function is working correctly.

Maybe you need to use PasteRTF() at the insertion point.
This will not actully replace the mergefield text, but
should have the desired effect.
