Is there a way to post an error message to the Advantage Database Error Log
from within Xbase.

I have an event that can happen but when it does I would like a record
created into the Advantage Error Log.

Hello Don,
There isn't a built in mechanism to add an error to the log, but you can
open and operate on it like a regular table. I think you'd need to configure
a share or a server side alias if you want to do it remotely.

check for the os: on windows, replace the :\ with a $ in the
error_assert_log_path (configuration), e.g. if it's c:\ you can connect
to \\servername\c$ and open the ads_err there.
On Linux the complete path is in the configuration (/var/log/advantage)
so you can connect to //servername/var/log/advantage.
