Hi!, I'am trying to replicate oracle to oracle (both are
oracle 9.2.0.1), but, i cannot initialize the rep_agent.
When i issue a test_connection, both RS and PDS test are
succesful, but, when i try to run pdb_xlog init or pdb_xlog
init, force RepAgent returns this message :
Command <pdb_xlog> failed - Could not initialize the primary
database because: SQL connection or execution failed:
SQL ERROR --
Message: Function not supported
SQLState: null
Remote Code: 17023

I've checked all the docs about Rep agent for oracle and i
could not find anything that solved mi problem.
Oracle is running on Windows 2003 enterprise SP1 32 bits
rep agent is running on the same machine, i'm working with
repserver 15.1 and rao 15.1 too. It seems that oracle is the
problem, but, i could not find which commands are sent to
oracle to trace the error.

thanks in advance.

Check with Sybase, but I suspect that 9.2.0.1 is too old, and that
pdb_xlog is trying to use a function that doesn't exist.

Hi Luis

I'm not sure it's a good idea to try to work with version 9.2.0.1, I
would recommend installing Oracle patch 9.2.0.8 first. Also, by turning
on of RAO tracing you can figure out the SQL that causes the problem on
Oracle side. In general, RAO 15.1 is supposed to support Oracle 9iR2,
but I have never tried it with this Oracle version.
