Hello Everyone,

I have been using Advnatage for years and I have come across a very
interesting problem. I am using Delphi to write to a Version 8.0 LOCAL
database. I provide the ODBC driver to some users so that they can access
the data. It failed for me once- but has worked every time after that.

However, I have one user who has problems connecting to one table in the
database. They can access the other tables - but not this one.IT happens
every time for them. I get the error below - something about not having
sufficient rights to access the file(table). Now - I run a Windows XP
environment - and my user with the issue is running on a Win2003 server.

Any thoughts as to why this user might not be able to access the table?
ODBC ERROR MESSAGE FROM MY TRACE

--------------------------------------------------------

With the DIAG [HY000] [Extended Systems][Advantage SQL][ASA] Error 7200:
AQE Error: State = HY000; NativeError = 5004; [Extended
Systems][Advantage SQL][ASA] Error 5004: Either ACE could not find the
specified file, or you do not have sufficient rights to access the file.
Table name: MSysConf (7200)

Any feedback would be much appreciated

Bradley MacDonald

This KB item should explain the issue:

Here is the link to download a "pre-made" table for ADT. It should be
able to easily make your own, or if you need a DBF I think you will need
to make your own.
