I'm trying to work out how to create a Java component on
EAServer without using EAServer Manager and instead using
either jagtool or the com.sybase.jaguar.system Java API.

Using jagtool I've worked out how to create a new component
and set properties on it but I'm not sure how I can define a
new IDL from the components Java class and assign the IDL to
the component.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Kind Regards,
Nathan

Is it a java/corba component or EJB you need?

If it's an EJB, I think you should have a look at Eclipse +
a plugin. Have it generate the jar file and then use
jagtool/jagant to deploy it (while deploying, EAS manages
all the IDL-stuff :)).

It's a Java/corba component I'm trying to deploy. Basically I want to
mimic the functionality of importing a Java class through EAServer
Manager (component is created, IDL generated, etc) except using
jagtool or the EAServer Java API.

Alas, I believe it's not possible to create java-corba
components this way.
