Hello,

An internet application has suddenly stopped working--reporting a 7082
error. An internet connection to the database dictionary can be made using
ARC32. There are three remote sites attempting to connect--all were
connecting satisfactorially earlier in the day. The dictionary has been
replaced.

Another application on the same server is allowing internet access using a
different dictionary.

Using Delphi 5.0 and Tdataset 7.1

Would appreciate any suggestions.

Gene Lyman

The problem turned out to be that the dictionary lost the setting for "Table
locking mode". It had reset itself to Proprietary instead of Compatible.
Why the process failed during the connection process, rather than a table
open, seems odd.
