Hi,

I have upgraded my server from 7.0.16 to 7.0.24

Sync'ing phones etc works fine, but there is something wrong
with the website user interface.

Accessing http://server.domain.nn/ (my pylon server)

It automatically redirects to

http://server.domain.nn/genweb/

And gives an error message

APPLICATION ERROR

A problem has occurred.

Please contact support if the problem continues.

We apologize for the inconvience.

When I submit an url like

http://server.domain.nn/genweb/html/ext/Login.do

I get the correct user interface......

Is there a quick solution that I can use. Obviously there
is a redirect statement somewhere, but I do not know where
it is.

Thanks,
Hakon

Hi,

It seems that the upgrade process killed files from

pylon-dir\Tomcat\webapps\genweb\* (5 files)

I recoverd the old ones and copied them back. It worked for
me.

Hi HÃ¥kon,

just one remark (I've seen that you already solved this issue).

The easiest way to solve this "APPLICATION ERROR" issue is to do the
following steps:
- shut down the Pylon Anywhere service
- remove the folder <Pylon Anywhere>\Tomcat\webapps
- start Pylon Anywhere service

After the start of Pylon Anywhere happens the following
- in case (in this case) the folder genweb does not exist the internal
web server (Tomcat) will unpack the file genweb.war and generate the
genweb folder.
later on
- each single .jsp file, that is needed to answer a users web-browser
access, will be compiled into JAVA to speed up future requests

It's important to understand this procedure in order to understand the
delays.

Kind regards,

Dietrich
