Hi!
Our customer has a Linux machine and ADS 7.1 installed.
He wants to reinstall Linux on that machine, so that the ADS license must
remain.
Can he copy the file /etc/advantage/.adslicense and put it back after
reinstallation?
Or he must necessarily do license transfer to some Linux machine and then back?
He doesn't have another Linux machine.

if it's on the same machine, then the .adslicense file should be
preserved. To be sure, make a backup of that file ;)

So he must save that file, then delete his Linux, then install new Linux,
copy saved file back to his place and install ADS again?
No need re-registration?

If he doesn't delete the .adslicense file, it should stay in place. And
yes - there's no reregistration necessary (only if you switch the box).
