If we connect to a AIS server over the internet AND the table is encrypted,
are the packets encrypted as well? The reason I ask is I'd like to use AIS
but the data IS indeed sensitive.

Hello Jim,
When making an "Internet" connection, provided your security level is
set to level 2 (Authentication and Encryption), then all packets are
encrypted across the wire (even if the underlying table is not encrypted).
