Hi!

We have upgraded the MSSQL Server 7 to MSSQL 2000 + SP3 on Windows 2000
Server os.
Between uninstall and install we installed SP4 on Win 2000 Server.
We have loaded database with ra_ tables and ra_triggers, etc. Before the
server changes the replication was ok.
Since then the repagent starts correctly, but doesn't carry the data. In the
shadow tables there are more and more data.

Rep. connections are ok (test_connection).
ODBC connection ok.

We tried:
ra_locator zero (repagent)
rs_zeroltm srv, db

We have:
Replication Server/12.1/EBF 9604/PC Intel/Windows NT 4.0/1/OPT/Tue May
15 12:00:44 PDT 2001
Sybase Replication Agent for Unix, Windows NT, and Windows
2000/12.1.0.215P2/P/java/java 1.1 VM/215P2/OPT
ASE 11.9.2.6

Thanks in advance

Tom

I assume you've issued suspend/resume commands?

Hi!

We've solved the problem.
rs_zeroltm and ra_locator zero wasn't enough.
We had to drop and make new connection to repagent.

Hi Tom,

Instead of dropping the connections, you could have just
increased the gen_id of the PDB through the Replication
Agent. This problem happens occasionly when you load the
primary database. The database generation ID is the first
two bytes of the origin queue ID.

The database generation ID is used by Replication Server to
support recovery operations, which may require Replication
Agent to re-send transactions.

During recovery, if Replication Agent must re-send
operations that the primary Replication Server has already
processed, the database generation ID can be changed to
prevent the primary Replication Server from recognizing the
information as already processed.

The command is :

pdb_gen_id [<new_value>]

You can check the current gen_id by running pdb_gen_id on
the RA prompt.

Regards,
Vivek
