I have a few devices (treo 600's and Samsung i500) that live connect is set to connect every 15 min. The battery is above the tolerence for the connection.
The thing will not initiate a live connect session. I am manually click the connect button and the session does connect.

Any ideas?

Hi Bruce,

We are experiencing the same problem on all 7 of our Treo 600s. When we set
up a new unit, it will work the first day, but after not synching during the
evening as part of the schedule, it will not start up again the next day. A
few of the things we have tried, unsuccessfully:

1. Turn the battery threshold off.
2. Turn off getting the system time on the clock.
3. Remove the OBCPush_PION_ap files from the Treo.
4. Run the Sprint Palm update for Treo 600s.

I've talked to tech support, and they are a bit stumped as well. If you
discover a solution, I'd love to hear it.

Hi Tracy,

We think we have found more symptoms.
1) it seems to happen after a treo was reset by a software error
2) A soft reset sometimes fixes the problem.

Are you seeing the same things as well?

Hi Bruce,

Unfortunately, we have been getting a lot of software errors. Tapping on
various applications causes the system to reset, not necessarily only
Onebridge. No, I have not noticed that performing a soft reset fixes the
problem. As mentioned before, the systems sync fine when initiated
manually, but do not follow the schedule.

We suffer similarly in the UK. It does seem to be possible to fix by a
combination of disconnection from the wireless service and/or soft reset -
but I cannot work out what the proper combination is! I think that
disconnection is the essential component and you have to be disconnected for
about 10 mins - then you can reset during the same period. Since it falls
over quite often this is not ideal. I have better things to do with my day.
It would be nice to think palmOne had this on their menu to fix.

Per an email from OneBridge Tech Support, they have identified the issue and
are testing a client that resolves the issue. They will have an official QA
tested client towards the end of next week.

I believe that we've identified and fixed the issue with a client update.
The client is currently being tested and it seems to resolve the problem.
Generally, when using Live Connect (scheduling -- not the push model), if
the data connection get's dropped, the Live Connect fails -- even after the
connection recovers. The fix should be available within a couple weeks.
I'll post when there's a full QA tested version available.

I am still having this problem using OneBridge 4.2.

As the hotfix was specifically for 4.1, I am reluctant to install it on the
4.2 server and clients.

I do not know if the Live Connect problem I am experiencing is the exact
same as I do not think I am getting disconnected in the session, but I
definitely do not see the Live Connect run according to its scheduling after
the first time.
