Is there anyway of having a graphic shown on screen but doesnt print?

I assume you are talking about a web page. Since you print a web page from
a web browser, the browser would have to provide the feature. IE
preferences include a choice for whether or not you want images included
when you print. Check your browser settings.

Yes talking about browsers and i am aware of the IE setting but hoping there
was a way of stopping particular graphics from printing. I have HTMLDW's that
display certain data that i would like to pint as just data and trash the
surrounding graphics.

How about creating a variant of the report with data only, and provide a
"Print Version" link to that report from the fancy version? Many news
agencies (CNN) and online magazines do that with articles that have ads
surrounding them.

:-) Yeah i can see your point but its students we are talking about at a
university and if you can see some of the responses i get for support you would
wonder if they know what to do with a mouse!!!
