I can connect to the server using
\\server\hdd2\data\adsapps\dtt\data
but when I want to create a Data Dictionary into the same folder using the
same path, I get a database path does not exist and when I use the mapped
drive h:\adsapps\dtt\data, I get a 6420 discovery error message.

Any help please.
Also, can I use ARC Version 9.10 on ADS 9.10 for Linux?

Thanks,
Ben

ARC uses direct file access. You should be able to create the
dictionary via SQL:

CREATE DATABASE mydatabase

Hi Joachim,

When I do that via SQL, it tells me SUCCESS, but it is not there in the
path I specified.
When I want to create a new DD via ARC in a new folder, it creates the
folder but then gives a discovery error, althuogh I can connect via ARC to
the server with \\server\hdd2
Please help, I am running around in circles and is not getting anywhere!
ARC is installed on a XP workstation and is logged into Novell with SUSE
Linux and with administration rights.

Thanks,
Ben
